Key Updates for September 2026

Update date: September 14, 2026

AI features
AI Voice Input for Records: AI decides which fields to fill in based on what you say (mobile app, iOS)

AI Voice Input for Records is now available in the Kintone mobile app for iOS. Just say everything you want to record in one go, and AI works out which fields the information belongs in and reshapes it to fit the format of each one. There's no need to select fields one at a time — you can speak freely and enter a record with very little effort.

A diagram showing how AI analyzes what you say about a sales meeting and sorts it into the Date, Customer name, Summary, Meeting details, and Next action fields

Record sales meeting reports while out of the office or inspection results in the field simply by speaking naturally, without having to select and enter fields one by one.
This makes it easier to quickly record information, whether you're working on-site or on the go.

5. Review and edit the information as necessary, then save the record.
* You need to update the mobile app to use this feature. The update containing this feature is scheduled for release in September. We also plan to make a similar feature available in the Android mobile app in the future.
* AI Voice Input for Records becomes available once a kintone administrator enables it on the "kintone AI management" screen. It is disabled by default.
* For the supported fields and detailed instructions, refer to the kintone Help page on this feature.

Search
All-contents search can now include or exclude specific apps and spaces

In the filter section for all-contents search, you can now limit the search to specific apps and spaces, or exclude them from your search. For example, you can search only the apps and spaces you use for your work to find all the information you need about a project. Or, if one app is returning too many results and you know the information you're looking for isn't there, you can exclude that app from your search.

To add conditions, click "Filter by app or space" in the "Filter" section of the all-contents search screen.
You can add multiple apps and spaces and choose whether to include or exclude them from your search.

* You can also include or exclude apps when searching within a space.

App management
More columns can now be used as filter conditions on the app list

In the app list on the "App management" screen, we've added 11 columns that can be used as filter conditions. You can now filter apps by "API tokens", "Webhooks", "App group", "Created by", and more. Just for example, you could filter for apps that have API tokens or webhooks configured to check their external integrations, or specify a particular app group or creator to find certain apps that need to be reviewed.

11 new columns from the app list can now be used as filter conditions.

The columns added as filter conditions in the September 2026 release are as follows:
ID / App group / Fields / API requests per day / API tokens / Webhooks / Attachments / Guest users with access / Creator / Created date and time / Last updated by

* With this update, all columns displayed in the app list can now be used as filter criteria. (As of the September 2026 update)

Platform
Front-end infrastructure renewed (top page of the App settings screen)

To speed up product improvements going forward, the Kintone development team is progressively renewing the front-end technology infrastructure that's been in use since Kintone first launched, screen by screen. This time, the front-end infrastructure has been renewed for the top page of the App settings screen, and the layout and components of that page — including the Form, View, Chart, and Settings tabs — have changed along with it.

Process analysis
Visualize how long records stay in each status, based on process history

We're developing a feature that lets you see how long records have stayed in each status in apps that have process management set up, so you can spot and confirm bottlenecks in the business processes running in an app.
You'll be able to choose the field to group by and the records to include, so the analysis fits the angle that matters for each job. You can also set the period of history to analyze, which lets you focus on a specific window — the period after a process improvement was put in place, for example. We're planning to add more ways to analyze business processes from a wider range of angles.

▼The Process analysis screen (the screen shown is under development)
Analyze process, added to the "..." menu on the view screen
The Process analysis screen. Analysis settings is in the upper right, and a horizontal bar chart shows the total time spent in each status.
  1. You can open the Process analysis screen by clicking Analyze process on the view screen.
  2. Open Analysis settings to choose the field to group by, the conditions for filtering records, and the period of history to cover.
  3. You can check the total time spent in each status, so you can see how long records have been sitting at each stage.
