The JavaScript API for generating text with a generative AI allows you to call the generative AI from your app's customization or plugins to generate text.

Configuration to Use

To use the JavaScript API for generating text with Generative AI, you need to configure the following two settings.

  1. Enabling Features with Update Options
  2. Enabling Features on the "Kintone AI management" Screen

Enabling Features with Update Options

Enable the JavaScript API for generating text with Generative AI in the Update Options.

  1. Click the Settings icon (the gear-shaped icon) at the top of Kintone, then click Kintone administration.

  2. On the "Kintone administration" screen, click "Update options".

  3. Enable the New features under consideration in API Lab: Enable this feature: JavaScript API for Generating Text with AI (Available in Kintone AI).

  4. Clicking "Save" at the upper left of the screen.

Now, JavaScript API for Generating Text with AI will appear in the AI features section of the Kintone AI management screen.

Enable features on the "Kintone AI management" screen

On the "Kintone AI management" screen, enable the JavaScript API for generating text with Generative AI.

  1. On the "Kintone administration" screen, click "Kintone AI management" in the "AI" section.

  2. On the "Kintone AI management" screen's "Kintone AI activation" section, select "Enable Kintone AI".
    If this option is already selected, proceed to the next step.

  3. In the AI features section, select "Enable" for the "JavaScript API for Generating Text with AI".

  4. Click Save at the bottom right of the screen.
