Overview of mobile view

In the mobile view, mobile-friendly user interfaces (UIs) such as the navigation menu are provided. With these interfaces, users can easily access the information they need. This page explains how to use mobile UIs.

First-time access

When you access the mobile UI for the first time, a bubble will appear Tap to open the menu. Tap the Tap to close this popup button in the bubble, or tap the Open navigation menu button in the upper left corner of Kintone screen to display the portal.

Portal

The Portal screen is displayed on the Home page, as in the desktop version. Below the "Announcements" section, the lists of apps and spaces are displayed.
If you tap an app that is pasted in the "Announcements" section, you will move to the app.
In the lists of apps and spaces, the apps and spaces that you have added to your favorites are displayed at the top.
If you tap the pin button to the left of an app name or space name, you can add or remove it from your favorites.

Tapping the "Open navigation menu" button at the upper left of the screen opens the navigation menu.
Tapping the "Open notification list" button (bell icon) at the upper right of the screen lets you check notifications for you.

Navigation menu

You can open the navigation menu by clicking the "Open navigation menu" button at the upper left corner of the screen on Portal, apps, and spaces.
From the navigation menu, you can quickly access the following menus:

  • (a): User name
    Tapping this opens People.
  • (b):"Open settings screen"
    "Personal settings", "Desktop view" (only when accessing the portal via a web browser), "Help", "Kintone Improvement Program", and "Logout" are displayed.
    In "Personal settings", you can configure "Time format" and "E-mail notifications" as in the desktop view.
  • (c): "Reload" (Mobile app only)
    Reloads the screen. This button is displayed only in the mobile app.
  • Portal
    This navigates to Portal.
  • Assigned to me
    Apps in which you need to perform process management actions are displayed together with the number of records assigned to you.
  • Search Kintone
    You can search all of Kintone.
  • "Apps"
    The list of apps is displayed. You can switch between the list of "All apps" and the list of "Recently opened apps".
    In "All apps", apps are displayed in alphabetical order. If there are any apps added to Favorites, they are displayed at the top regardless of the app name.
    In "Recently opened apps", apps are displayed in the order of most recently opened.
    You can add or remove apps from Favorites by tapping the pin button.
  • [Spaces]
    A list of spaces is displayed.
    You can add or remove spaces from your favorites by tapping the pin button.
  • People
    A list of People pages belonging to other users is displayed.

Search

As in the desktop view, you can search in the entire Kintone. The search results screen displays results not only from apps and spaces, but also from attached document file contents. On the app screen, you can search inside the app.

Notifications

The Open notification list button is displayed in the upper right corner of every screen, allowing you to quickly check your notifications at any time. The "Open notification list button displays the number of unread notifications addressed to you.
If you check notifications while working on another screen, you can return to the screen you were working on by tapping the Close notification list button (shaped like "<") in the upper left corner of the screen.

On the Notification screen, you can switch between displaying Unread and Read notifications, as well as between To meFlagged, and All (or custom filters you have created) notifications.

Apps

When you open an app, the "View" screen appears, just like in the desktop version.
If you tap the app name at the top of the screen, the app's action menu appears, allowing you to perform the following actions:

  • Add the app to your favorites / Remove the app from your favorites
  • Show app description (Only when app description is added)
  • Show the view of the app

The following sections describe the "View", "Record Details", and "Search in app" screens.

The "View" screen

As with the desktop view, you can choose between the following view display formats.

  • List view
  • Calendar view
  • Custom view

In a list view, the number of comments on a record can also be checked.

Also, you can switch between views or graphs by tapping their respective tabs. Tap a list or graph name to change the list or graph that is displayed.

You can change the sort order by tapping a field name in the header row of the view.

You can tap the "Filter" button to check or change the filter conditions and sorting order that are currently applied. For details on filtering, refer to the following page:

The "Record details" screen

On the Record details screen, you can both edit the record and enter comments.
The following items are fixed at the bottom of the screen.

  • The Select action section (for process management and app actions)
  • "Open the action menu for this record" buttons ("Delete", "Copy link", "Share", "Duplicate", "Add")
  • The Previous record/Next record buttons
  • The Edit button

The following describes each menu option on the "Record Details" screen.

Comments

You can view and post comments by tapping the "Comments" tab.
When you tap the "Options" button, the "Delete comment" and "Copy comment permalink" buttons appear.

Editing records

You can edit the record by tapping Edit at the bottom right of the screen.

Action menu for records

From the button to "Open the action menu for this record" at the bottom left of the screen, you can perform the following actions:

  • Delete record
  • Copy record link
    You can copy the URL of the  Record details screen, and paste it to Kintone or to non-Kintone services.
  • Share record
    You can share the URL of the  Record details screen in non-Kintone apps and emails.
  • Duplicate record
  • Add record

Process management

If process management is enabled, the following items are displayed.

Status

The record's current status is displayed under Status.

Current assignees

The users currently assigned to the record are displayed under Current assignees.
Screenshot: The "Current assignees" section is highlightedIf there are multiple current assignees, the display name of the user with the smallest user ID among those who have not yet performed the necessary action will be displayed, along with +N more to indicate how many others are assigned.
Clicking  +N more will display all of the current assignees. If all of the assignees need to perform an action, the progress of each user's action will also be displayed.

Actions

For users specified under Current assignees, an action button will appear at the bottom of the screen.
When the button is clicked, a confirmation screen will appear before the record is moved to the next step in the process. This lets you confirm what will happen after your action is taken.

App actions

If an app action is set for the app, the app action button appears at the bottom of the screen. When process management is enabled, app action buttons are displayed after the process management action button.
Tapping an app action button will open the action's target app in another tab so you can duplicate the relevant record data.

Search in app

You can search for data in the app you're currently using from the View or Record details screen.
The scope of search is the same as the desktop view. Searches are performed on records, record comments, and attachments.

The  Search in app screen shows a breadcrumb trail that lets you quickly go to the app's home page (the View screen) or the screen for searching all of Kintone.

Space

In a space, you can do the following.

  • View announcements (Space body)
  • View threads and post comments
  • Use apps in the space
  • View members of the space on the People tab
  • Use apps and spaces that are added in Related links
  • Search in space
    The scope of search is the same as the desktop view. Searches are performed on the space, threads and thread comments in the space, records and record comments in apps within the space, and attachments in the space.

Some of the operations available in the desktop view (e.g., configuring space settings and adding threads) cannot be performed in the mobile view.

The following items are displayed as tabs on spaces:

  • Announcements
  • Threads
  • Apps (if there are any apps that users are allowed to view in the space)
  • People
  • Related links (if there are any related links that users are allowed to view in the space)

To add or remove a space from your favorites, click the "Options" button at the upper right of the space screen and then click "Add to favorites" or "Remove from favorites".
If a space is added to your favorites, a pin icon appears to the left of the space name at the top of the screen.
