This page describes what is included in space templates and what is excluded from them.

A space template includes only one existing space. The following settings and data are included in space templates:

• Space template name
• Space template description
• ​Setting that specifies whether to enable multiple threads
• Cover photo
• Space body and thread bodies
  • Formatted text, images, and attachments are also included.
  • An attached app is included only when it is an in-space app in the base space of the template.
• Thread title
• Related Apps & Spaces
  • A link is included only when it refers to an in-space app in the base space of the template.
• In-space app
  • A space template includes the same information as that an app template includes. Some app settings are not included in the template. For details, refer to the following page:

  • A Lookup or Related records field is included only when the field references an in-space app in the base space of the template.
    If a referenced app is not an in-space app in the base space of the template, the template creation fails with an error.
  • Records in apps are not included.
• App actions
  • An app action is included only when it is designed to copy data to an in-space app in the base space of the template.

The following settings and data are not included in space templates:

• Setting that specifies whether a space is public or private
• Setting that specifies whether the space is a guest space
• ​Created by, Updated by, Created datetime, and Updated datetime values of the space and threads
• ​Created by, Updated by, Created datetime, and Updated datetime values of in-space apps Members of the space, and followers of threads
• Members of the space, and followers of threads
• Thread comments
• Records and settings of in-space apps
  App settings that are excluded from app templates are also excluded from space templates. For details, refer to the following page:

• The following settings related to external apps^*1:
  • External apps^*1 that are attached to the body of the space or threads.
  • Actions whose destination fields are set to an external app^*1​
    ^*1: "External apps" means any apps that are not in the space from which the template is being created.
• The following data and settings of the body of the space or threads:
  • Attached periodic reports
  • Mentions
    The link is removed, but the text remains.
• Attachments larger than 20 MB
• Thread actions
